Our system is polyfragmented and thus pretty large. It's also quite fictive-heavy. You don't need to understand what that means nor what it's like - nor do we expect you to pay much mind to it, so please don't feel too intimidated. With that said, we do ask that folks at least show respect and decorum about it. Please take it or leave it, we're fine with either.We're also quite prone to shyness, burnout or just being generally overwhelmed. we're not great at keeping in-touch and humbly ask for your understanding on this. we do read messages eventually, even if responses are unreliable.Some of us are quite political. Sometimes we go for periods without talking about it, but sometimes we'll talk about it a lot. We try not to bring politics into non-political conversations, but we will interact with or talk about politics on social media.

Bunnarium Engine

Bunnarium Engine is a game engine written in C#. The goal with Bunnarium is to make up for its lack of a visual IDE (for now?) in favor of a high-performance, intuitive, well-documented and well-explained game engine that's friendly to novices and that's also filled with bunnies 🐇

Features:

  • A custom Entity Component System (ECS) that allows for components to be stored in either sparse sets (with multiple options for key-value cardinalities) or archetype tables. Entities may have a mix of components of each storage type, they can have one or components of the same type for either storage type, and components stored in sparse sets may be structs (archetype tables may only contain unmanaged components). A component system selects its targets via a ComponentQuery<TTupleOfComponentTypes> such that component types can be provided as-are or wrapped in operators, such as Not<TComponent>.

  • A custom math and geometry library with extensive generics use that allows for types and functions that operate on both 2D and 3D types (so long as you don't need to use cross products... or you can do that but it's much less elegant) using either single- or double-precision IEEE754 floating point numbers.

  • An abstraction layer that will allow Bunnarium to use one of several underlying frameworks for handling windowing, rendering and input. MonoGame is the only implementation written so far, but in the future another option such as Veldrid or OpenTK will be implemented.

  • Audio, powered by NAudio and SoundTouch.

  • Custom utilities for graphs, pathfinding, system reflection, tweens and splines, and more!

  • A two-way Bounding Volume Hierarchy.

  • Pronoun support!
